November 22: Getting organized

From now on, we are going to process all samples in order.  These are the leaf litter samples from C-2 (our highest priority site) laid out in the same order as on the data sheet Griffin made.  Some of the samples were not in the lab freezer (they were in my freezer at home) but now we have them all.

photoLast week we lost two baskets worth of samples because the bags in the oven all had the same plot and basket numbers on them.  We don’t know which is right so we can’t use either of them.

Griffin also made pre-printed labels, which should help prevent labeling errors.  (add a picture here!)
